Esstee Big Band is Melbourne’s hardest-swinging 18-piece jazz ensemble. Featuring fabulous singers Margot Leighton and Zac Teichmann, plus regular special guests, Esstee has performed at the Wangaratta Jazz Festival for more than 15 years. The band performs the best of the classic big band vocal repertoire, as well as the most exciting instrumentals and original compositions in town. Esstee has performed at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, National Gallery of Victoria, Crown Palladium, the Forum, Portsea Hotel among many others. The Esstee family is proud to launch their fantastic new album of swingin’ originals and commissioned arrangements from some of Australia’s finest at the Wangaratta Jazz Festival 2018.
Esstee big band combines fresh new Australian originals combined with classic big band repertoire. Esstee are Wangaratta favourites, having played 20 festivals since 1996. Equally adored by the swing dancers as well as the keen listeners, this is a show not to be missed! Come and help celebrate Esstee’s 20th anniversary with their album launch at the Pinsent Hotel, Sunday 4th November 10am-1pm!
