7:00 – 8:00pm, Sunday 4 November, WPAC Hall

Melbourne based Garden Quartet was formed by Gelareh Pour in 2016. After launching her first two albums Tanin-e Melbourne featuring Brian O’Dwyer, Adam Simmons and Andrew Polydorou; and, Gelareh Pour and Mick Trembath Live at B1 Gallery in Ballarat, Gelareh has taken her exploration of Iranian-Australian music to a new level.

Garden Quartet blends contemporary Persian and Western motifs, creating Iranian-Australian world music in a way not heard before. Emotive and delicate pieces, entwined with subtle pop sensibilities, lift into vibrant and triumphant movements, guaranteed to sway the heart and persuade the feet to tap.
