Once the Festival is done, why not stay on and explore the region?
From the Milawa Gourmet Region to wineries in the King Valley, the region is bursting with the best of Victoria's produce and producers.
But the region isn't just about food and wine. Wangaratta and surrounds offers pristine nature and inspiring views. Visit the Warby-Ovens National Park just 15 minutes from the Wangaratta CBD for sweeping views across the Alpine Region, waterfalls and unqiue plant and wild life.
Or swim just meters from central Wangaratta among the River Gums at Sydney Beach. For families, Apex Park and Mitchell Avenue play spaces offer unique, nature inspired playgrounds to excite the youngest visitors.
And no visit to the region would be complete without getting out on the amazing network of bike trails. Ride part of the Murray to Mountains Trail and stop for lunch at the Plough Inn in Tarrawingee or Everton Hotel in Everton. If you’re after some time in the King Valley, cycle out of Oxley and see the newly installed Prosecco Road sculpture before stopping in at Sam Mianda Winery and continuing on to Brown Brothers in Milawa.
